Jump forward a few years...
Yes, I am still busier then ever, but our girls are older and finally going to school together on the same schedule. After figuring out the new swing of things I am ready to attempt a blog once again. Of course this time it will be more PlacentaMom focused, but I am sure family adventures will crop up from time to time.
In the coming weeks I am going to dust off some of my past archived posts that I think will benefit others, especially those in the local Sacramento birth and parenting communities that I serve with my placenta encapsulation services. In addition there will be new posts and guest posts to enjoy and share. I love seeing how both the local and virtual community are growing and the support offered is simply amazing. At times I am even a bit jealous since not much was available way back when, or if it was it was hard to find. Not jealous enough to add another to the Morales Crew (lol), but jealous enough to want to help continue to build the information and resources to those searching.
To get thing started I will answer a set of questions I am asking all guest bloggers to answer as well, because sometimes off the cuff questions make us realize we are all in this together…
You have won the free time lotto...how are you spending a day with no obligations?
Hands down...day at the beach with the family. This is our happy space and we cannot get enough of the ocean air, sand between our toes, and cool waves. The beach makes me happy.
Thank goodness there is no age limit...what is your favorite kid show?
Yo Gabba Gabba - we were pioneers of this show. Thankfully our girls liked it too ;)
Now that you have gotten your feet wet with this parenting gig...what is the best advice you could give the pre-kiddo you?
Take lots of pictures. The memories will be joyful.
Remember the power you felt wielding that baby registry scanner gun…what was the one item you were certain would be the holy grail of gifts, but turned out to be bunk?
I really, really, really wanted a wipes warmer. We used it for awhile, and I did like it, but with time using them right out of the packet was more convenient, especially since we had stairs.
Sharing is caring...what is your favorite charity?
Since our girls are in school and the list of needs seems to be never ending Blue Oak PTA gets a lot of our attention, as does the Blue Oak Garden of Learning.
The cover is worn, you have read it a million times, & can recite it in your sleep...what children’s book have you shamelessly tried skipping a page (or five) come bedtime?
Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed. Read it in English, Spanish, using funny voices, with finger gestures...not to keep their interest, but to keep my sanity. We read this one A LOT!
Baby poo or spit up...which is worse?
Spit up. I have a thing with saliva. Bleck.
Parenting can drive us to drink...pick your poison...Coffee, Soda, Beer, or Wine?
Coffee...I never drank it until I gave birth. Never.
Looking forward to sharing more with you...
